Why is Agritourism growing so fast?
People agree that it is important for their children to know where their food comes from. Parents want their kids to know that eggs don't come from cardboard boxes, that milk does not come from a plastic carton, and corn does not come from the cob. Not only is agritourism a good learning experience for all ages but it also helps families bond. There are plenty of activities for families to do here together, like hay rides in the picture above, chop down their own Christmas tree, pick a perfect pumpkin, or even get lost together in a corn maze. Agritourism is growing fast, and will continue to grow fast because of the fun it provides for all ages.

Linvilla Orchards is in Media,PA. It is a agritourism farm not far from us. It has in season picking, like apples, oranges, pumpkins, carrots, string beans, etc. Not only can you pick in seasoned fruits and veggies but also go on hay rides, pony rides, there is a barnyard for kids and also a playground. In the fall they have a contest going on, Pumpkin Chuckin' this is when you launch your pumpkin as far into a field as you can. Linvilla has a market where you can buy food that was grown right there including pumpkin bread, peanut butter, and my favorite warm apple cider. You can now have birthday parties, and group hayrides for family and friends to enjoy!
