In the soil there are many different types of bugs like worms who help the soil in getting aeration and drainage by creating tunnels through the soil.

There are many reasons why people practice soil conservation and a couple examples are.
  1. To keep the enviroment free of garbage and waste.
  2. To improve the water quality.
  3. To improve wildlife habitats.

Those are just a few reasons why people practice soil conservation. The biggest enemy of soil conservation is erosion because it erodes when it is being built on top of like when you build a house the soil erodes and it is bad for the soil and mulch protects the soil. Another way to help conserve the quality of the soil is to rotate the crops if you grow them.
